Janie is a wellness advocate and educator in the arena of body and mind. She is known widely in the Dallas/Ft. Worth community for her 19 years of yoga teaching experience in addition to serving in a private capacity specifically, but not exclusively, for girls and women diagnosed with eating disorders. As an (E-RTY) Janie has the privilege of using the agent wisdom of yoga in a twenty-first century setting create a practice and hold space where healing the mind/body connection becomes part of each day’s experience. Janie believes at the deepest level we are each our greatest teachers. “I believe and feel we are each amassed with the great fortune of abundant knowledge and all of this information is useless unless we can return to the simple and rare moments where thinking, feeling, knowing and being flow into one another as silent teachers.
Janie is the founding board member of the Patient Advisory Council at Baylor University Medical Center and serves on several medical committees. In 2012, she co-founded Embody Love Center, LLC. Janie attended University of Colorado and is a graduate of the University of Houston with degrees in History and English.
